I just installed a new Pioneer aftermarket radio (give or take about 4 years old) into my 1995 ford ranger. I connected all the speakers correctly I know for sure. The only problem I have is that the stereo won't turn on. After connecting the speaker wires, I have a black, red and yellow wire left on my stereo harness and on the stock wiring I have a black, a yellow with black stripe, black with light green stripe, blue with red stripe and a green and purple wire. Please help me to get my stereo working!! Thank you! The black is your ground. Check the wire to see which one is running to your battery. Once your figure that out run the yellow and red together to it and BAM you have the sound of music. Moisture Moisture in the compressor is a common cause for the failure of diesel compressors and moisture should be removed on a regular basis. Loss of Diesel Diesel is lost because of a blockage in the system or if there is a leak that allows diesel to escape. If diesel is escaping the system, the compressor will malfunction or stop working completely. Head Gasket If the head gasket of the compressor is defective, diesel will get into other parts of the system. Changing Fuel If fuel is not changed as specified by the manufacturer, diesel will form a sludge which inhibits the smooth functioning of the compressor. Contamination Diesel must be filtered from the air sent by the compressor. If diesel contaminates the air, it will result in mechanical failure of the compressor. Defects In rare cases, the compressor may come with manufacturing defects. 
Scion . How to Replace an A/C Compressor MotorAutomotive air-conditioning compressors can fail because of a lack of lubricant, a malfunctioning clutch or from bearing damage. In most cases, you must completely replace the compressor. The average backyard mechanic can replace an A/C compressor in about an hour. But first, remove the Freon coolant from the air-conditioning system by using professional evacuation equipment, available at most auto repair shops. The shops will normally remove the Freon for free because they get compensated for it. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Socket set Line wrench Step by Step : 1 Open the hood and disconnect the battery by turning the positive terminal bolt in a counterclockwise direction with the wrench. Set the loose terminal wire aside. 2 Remove the Freon lines by turning the line nuts on the compressor in a counterclockwise direction; then lay them aside. Check the gaskets inside each line nut for corrosion and kinking. 3 Disengage the drive belt from the compressor by pressing on the tension pulley arm and sliding the belt out from underneath the idle pulley. Release the tension pulley arm, and the belt will have enough slack so that you can remove it from the compressor pulley wheel. 4 Disconnect the compressor from the wiring harness by pulling the adapter plug from the compressor terminal. 5 Remove the compressor by turning the mount bolts counterclockwise while holding the nuts with a socket wrench. Slide the bolts out and manipulate the compressor out of the engine compartment. 6 Replace the compressor into the mount arms, and slide the bolts back into position. Fasten the mount nuts and tighten them fully. Reconnect the wiring harness by pressing the adapter back onto the compressor terminal. 7 Wrap the drive belt around the compressor, groove side down. Press the tension pulley arm firmly to slide the belt underneath the idle pulley wheel. Release the tension pulley, and the belt will tighten around all the components. 8 Reconnect the Freon coolant lines by turning their line nuts clockwise into the compressor openings. Reconnect the battery by turning the positive terminal clockwise. Refill the system with the proper level of Freon, either with a home kit or by taking the car to a professional facility. Tips & Warnings Use extreme caution when working with Freon; it can freeze your skin in seconds. Never vent Freon into the atmosphere. Do not remove the compressor without disconnecting the battery.
